A: In the rare cases of water leakage, this occurs not because of a defect in the article. The length of the tap male thread doesn’t reach the screenwasher placed inside the upper end of the Milady.  Same problem in case of a tap with a female thread when using the specific adapter.

In both cases it is sufficient to use the additional washer supplied, placing it under the screenwasher.

With the Milady model, the right tightening is guaranteed even when using the supplied water saver membrane.

About cheap tap sprayer hoses, things have seen in two different ways: we have got sellers who say that they perfectly work, but also buyers who say they work badly or even worse, they are broken.

This is a Made in Italy product. The weight of Milady is 73g while the similar ones range from 45 to 55g. The hose brass quantity represents an important element, to which we must add the quality of the materials (harmfulness), the quality of the chromium plating and the quality of the workmanship. The Milady hose is a guaranteed italian production. The hose ends are in brass, with the original Siroflex design. Competitors ones are in chromed plastic. The Made in Italy quality of Siroflex has an unequal duration. So pay attention to the “swindlers".

What the retailer told you was correct. Our “Micronette Regal” hair-wash showers have a partial shut-off valve which avoids a change of the water temperature after soaping. The little water outflow,even when the valve is closed, is not a product flaw but rather a technical precaution to avoid having a hot water infiltration in the cold one.

When you pull the trigger it is advisable to check the water temperature before directing the flow to the body.

A: Limescale is a common problem for all items that come into contact with it: obviously, the more water consists of limescale, the sooner scaling will form. However, the care in the construction and the choice of first quality materials can make the difference.

In particular, the acetal resin, which we use for our shower heads, resists to limescale build-up more than other materials, but does not eliminate it. When you notice an irregular water flow, just unscrew the shower head and soak it in vinegar or in a descaling product for a few hours, then brush off the residues: in this way it will return as new, even after years of use. In addition, it is always good practice to periodically unscrew the shower head and rinse the stainless steel screenwasher, which retains the solid impurities present in the water and preserves the shower head from clogging. A: The shower head has a brass swivel with a half-inch female thread; these are the standard sizes of the shower arms and bath mixer. If you have already had problems in the past, we recommend you checking the diameter of your mixer. Only in this way you will be sure of the compatibility with the shower head.

A: This solves the problem of bringing the water outside when an external tap is not available; useful for car washing or plants watering. Also suitable to wash your dog if a garden tap is available but you need hot water.

By using our connectors you can fit a garden hose to your house tap and have both cold and hot water. All of this without calling a technician and having useless installations. It is sufficient to unscrew the aerator of which are normally equipped with taps to proceed with installation, screwing the quick connector to the tap. The connection is simple and quick. Thanks to the quick connector you can alternate the use of the supplied tap sprayer with the bidet shower & toilet hydro jet one.

For taps without thread and for a greater connection versatility, Siroflex also offers the Travel Kit (Art.2011/ 2S) equipped with a rubber tap adaptor with steel clamp. In this way, the almost universality of use is guaranteed, since it is not possible to completely exclude the problems deriving from taps with particular and unusual shapes. If you want to continue using this model for a standard use, you need to remove the rubber tap adaptor.

A: No, it is just a question of removing the aerator and replacing it with the quick connector. Once fixed, the quick connector can alternate the shower and the tap sprayer use very quickly.

A: The house tap threads are measured in millimeter. The female thread usually has a diameter of 24mm (24x1millimetric female thread); in fact our article includes an adapter 22 × 1 millimetric male-24 × 1 millimetric male for the application of our quick connector. Any non-standard situations (which rarely occur) do not concern the type of thread but simply the female or male diameter. For greater safety, therefore, it is necessary to accurately measure the diameter and, if necessary, buy the relative adapter from a specialised dealer.

A: The bidet shower hose is 2 meters long.

A: Siroflex produces handshowers for bathroom mixers. With a simple connection to the washbasin tap, this kit is useful when you need to wash your hair if you don’t have a shower. The handshower (provided with the kit) has a total shut-off; this closure causes a water temperature change when the water flow resumes after an interruption. It is advisable to always check the water temperature with your hand before directing it to the body, in order to avoid possible scalds.

Always turn off the main tap after use.

A: This kit solves the connection problem between the handshower and the wasbasin or sink tap. It is equipped with a quick connector to be screwed on the tap.

In the quick connector you can alternatively fit the tap sprayer (for a normal tap use) or the equipped shower hose for the handshower use. In addition to this, there is also a male coupling for the connection with the washing machine or dishwasher inlet hose.

About the handshower (which has a total shut-off), anytime you pull the trigger check the water temperature with your hand before directing it to the body. Always turn off the main tap after use.

In the case of a medical indication for the use of a certain type of low-mineral water, the only way to comply with the indication is to choose bottled water that already possesses the characteristics required by the doctor at the source.

A: It eliminates chlorine and its derivatives, retaining the solid impurities of the water supplied by your water aqueduct. It therefore makes its taste pleasant and, in the case of the cartridge with a blend of activated carbon and resin, it eliminates the excess of limestone. UNI 3 water filters effectively maintain this feature. A: Because water liters cannot give a certain indication of the water filter duration, as the quantity of chlorine varies from water aqueduct to water aqueduct and from season to season. This is the reason why Siroflex has avoided equipping water filters with a watermeter, which would be unnecessarily expensive. The indication of three months duration has been determined on average values ​​and sticking the label with the expiry date is useful for replacement. However, when the cartridge function is over, nothing serious happens: when you taste the chlorine again it’s time to replace the cartridge. A pack of 4 cartridges is, on average, one year’s supply.

A: We want to thank you for your warning which allows us an important clarification on that. Your tap connection problem is not caused by our item defect. It can sometimes happen that the tap thread is not long enough to reach the screenwasher inserted in the brass nut; unfortunately this cannot guarantee the right tightness. In this case it is sufficient to insert the additional washer underneath the screenwasher (if you don’t want to use the membrane water-saver).

Same situation when you need an adaptor to fix an item to a female thread tap. Even in this case a proper tightness is guaranteed by the above mentioned procedure.

We would like to highlight a common mistake: solving the missing tightness with an harmful and useless nut tightening on the threaded tap; in the best case the thread gets stripped. Only the membrane water-saver or the alternative washer can guarantee a safe tightness.

A: This worry only occurs when you don’t read the instructions carefully. It is clearly indicated that “The first time you use either the water filter or a new cartridge, it is necessary to wash the active carbon by running at least two litres of water".

The dark colour of the first water flow is caused by the active carbon fine dust present in the cartridge.

For this reason consider that the active carbon is used in the aqueducts for the water filtering, which is subject to a chlorination before being delivered.

Nothing harmful to health, indeed.

A: It is very useful when you want to drink water from the tap, but annoyed by the taste of chlorine. Therefore, the characteristics of the water supplied from your water aqueduct remain so, except for the elimination of the bad taste of chlorine and the solid impurities that sediment in the pipes.

A: Decalcified waters with resins are not usually recommended for aquariums, therefore not even those obtained with our filters.

A: Since chlorination is the system used for the disinfection of water intended for human consumption, one of its problem is the formation of “chloro-compounds", known to release bad smells and flavours to the potable water. The UNI 3 A Classic and Silver water filters resolve the above-mentioned problems, while in the B version (Water filter + Water Softener) they reduce, in addition,  the limescale.

A: In fact, our article is not a purifier, but, as required by law, “a domestic appliance for the treatment of drinking water". Therefore, do not use it with polluted water. We thank you for giving us the opportunity for this clarification.

A: The device life span is almost unlimited (some items have lasted for 20-25 years). A: We thank you for the question, with a clarification on that. First of all: attention please! There is no item which can be advertised or sold with the “water purifier” heading. This is clearly established by the legislation concerning the equipment for the water treatment for human consumption.

In addition to this, the word “purifier" is referred to the treatment of wastewater: that’s saying something! According to the technical provisions established by law, our UNI 3 product is defined as “domestic appliance for drinking water treatment".

Similar products not defined in this way are not in line with the legislation. In more detail UNI3 water filter combines two mechanical filters, which retain most of the solid impurities from potable waters, to the active carbon which absorbs and eliminates bad smells and flavours.

A: Of course! Many italian water companies publish the chemical-physical analyses of the water supplied and it is possible they sometimes do not correspond to the particular needs of the user.

However, it is right to point out that the domestic use of water also includes the cooking and that, except for the bottled water use, is always preferable to eliminate chlorine, its derivatives and impurities.

Unfortunately, even bottled water have its problems, as highlighted by some recent judgements concerning the conservation methods.

Good question for an essential clarification.

Italian water companies supply good quality water on average. But it is also true that some of them do not respect this standard. If the water supplied in the aqueducts is not potable,unfortunately, NO DEVICE FOR DOMESTIC USE can solve this problem.

In fact, the following clarifications are required:

    •  It is neither a potabiliser nor a purifier (words forbidden by law for these kind of devices)
    •  It eliminates the smell and taste of chlorine and retains solid impurities

A: We thank you for this question because we can clarify some misunderstandings about this topic.

Any dark colour of the first water coming out of the filter occurs because of the active carbon dust present in the cartridge. The presence of such dust is completely accidental, representing neither a positive nor a negative element.

During the installation some users find this fact as a warning, but it’s not at all. As indicated in the instructions: “The first time you use either the water filter or a new cartridge, you need to wash the carbon by running at least two litres of water".

The presence of the active carbon dust in the cartridge is therefore a false problem. In fact the active carbon is anything but harmful. It is used in the aqueducts for the water filtering, added with chlorine before being delivered.

Other users, as in your case, are worried for the opposite reason: the water coming out of the cartridge is immediately limpid. Even in this case the washing must be done “by running a couple of water litres", but it does not mean that the cartridge is empty or used.

It simply means that the active carbon inside the cartridge does not show any trace of dust, which can sometimes be present and sometimes not, with no repercussions on the good operation of the filter cartridge.
